Seeing all these social media videos of cars in the city, and owners just taking turns just moving the snow in front of each others cars reminds me how nice it is to have a driveway.  I own the place I park and I can pile snow next to it in a spot where nobody will move it.  The plow might come by and add some to the end of the driveway, but that's what happens when you're connected to a street.

To you today there is no point.  But think of the most boring activities you do in your life today.  Watching stupid shit on TV or scrolling social media.  Even during those times, when you are mentally checked out, I imagine you still find some base level of enjoyment of life.  I think dementia (as long as it's doesn't include anxiety) is similar. 

If you have anxiety though, it's torture.  There was this one woman at my MIL's rehab a couple weeks ago who kept remembering that her child died.  It was as if she was just learning the news.  She was reliving it constantly. Her wailing and sobs could be heard up and down the hallway. Please put a pillow over my face if that happens to me.

Clodfobble's method is very similar to mine.  Except I don't whack it on the edge of the pot.  I'll slowly remove it from the pot and drips taper down to nothing.

I don't know what is going on, but it feels like the enshittification is taking over in many walks of life these days. Did Covid make everyone just not care?  I include myself in that.  I find myself feeling that way.
