I acquired a 4"x 6" scratch pad/note pad that's unusual.
Each sheet is a very thin slice of Japanese Red Pine.
Very flexible I can even fold it but trying to crease the folds it will crack.
Strong smell of pine, not sticky, very thin.
I tried different instruments in both directions to see if it would smear.
It passed with flying colors, although turned the brown sharpie red.
