Boris Johnson- Get your coat!

Well, another Tory PM bites the dust

Not exactly sorry to see him go, but am not exactly thrilled by any of the current crop of Tories as a replacement.

Are they just crap or do you have to sort actual traitors out like in the US?

Re: Boris Johnson- Get your coat!

He lies repeatedly about Brexit.  The UK economy now beginning to see a resulting downslide created by that stupidity.  Major harm to the UK economy using outright and obvious lies - and he was not removed.

But do ethical violations (and lie about it).  Then 50 Ministers resign in a stampede.  Where is intelligence in this Conservative party?  Destruction to the economy is good.  Ethic violations are bad - the worst possible offense?

Some party officials (on BBC), because of his history, are questioning whether he will do Trump style antics to remain Prime Minister.  His entire history is to be popular by lying.

But even worse (dumb) has been leadership of Labor.  When a leader lies so often, why then is Labor so incompetent as to even lose more seats in Parliament?

There exists a serious question as to whether any sufficiently competent person exists, in either party, to be a competent Prime Minister.  Best find someone from the Scottish National Party.  They seem to be only ones with heads containing a functional brain.

No, but, even when they're bad, they're usually good enough.

Lying incompetents for the most part - arrogantly laying down laws they then break and getting caught in lie after lie -  but not much in the way of actual traitors. That said, Boris did meet with a Russian oligarch without officials

Given his stance on the Ukraine situation I find it hard to believe he is in Putin's pocket

Re: Boris Johnson- Get your coat!

Boris Johnson did not give Russians a most sensitive American secret to the Russian Ambassador and Foreign Minister in 10 Downing Street - we hope.  Trump gave them a most sensitive British secret in the Oval Office.  So it is not a fair comparison.

Boris Johnson was not 10 minutes away from 'Pearl Harboring' Iran.  Trump was.  Without notifying any American allies in Europe or Persian Gulf that we were unilaterally going to war.  Without any provocation.  Fortunately the Swiss were so aggressive in averting that war.

Johnson only lied about lesser things such as the now $40billion annually paid by British companies in tariffs and other penalties - created by Brexit.  And the slow movement of manufacturing and finance jobs out of Britain.

It is well known (60 Minutes even reported it) that Putin allies found money laundering easiest in London.  Brits knew about it and turned a blind eye.

One would think Labor was screaming.  But incompetence there has been similar to that by Theresa May.

Boris Johnson's popularity came from constant lying.  Not from making threats to destroy world cultural heritage sites (an international crime) because he was angry.  Still, like Trump, he was popular because he lied constantly.  On multiple occasions, was shocked  to learn that lying was so successful.

He knew he was lying about Brexit.  Did not matter.  It made him popular.

His Trump like attitude is why many in the UK are asking what Johnson will now do in the next two months to advance himself - at the expensive of Britain.  Since that has been his history.  Such questions were never asked about Theresa May, Gordon Brown, David Cameron, Tony Blair, John Majors, Margaret Thatcher, or Harold Wilson.
