Student Loans
My buddy asked me about the student loan deal and some questions I had no clue what the answer was.
Got me curious so down the rabbit hole for awhile and brought back souvenirs.
Freedom is just another word for nothin' left to lose.

IIRC, there was an NPR program about the teachers one, and they were rejecting most applications. But that was under DeVos, so it may have gotten better.

Plus the teacher program is, anecdotally speaking, a nightmare. I had a friend who did it, mostly because he was actually thinking maybe his degree wasn't what he wanted after all and was feeling an altruistic calling toward needy kids, etc. etc.
He barely made it through the first year, then quit. The whole reason the program exists is they put you in some really tough schools, where no one else would willingly teach. He was physically assaulted multiple times.
