Out fishing on a quiet afternoon when suddenly you're soiling yourself.
On the upside they confirm you were fishing where the fish are... were
I think the camera angle make the boat look much closer to them than it was.
I just read last night about two women kayaking getting gobbled up like this
but the whale spit them out in a couple of seconds.
It's probably from an incident a couple years ago.

This image looks a little wonky. Like it got stretched vertically from the original.

That may be from the long lens compressing it, but that's just a guess.

Alright, this image was nagging at me. So I looked for it.
It's both a photoshopped image and an image that has been stretched in the vertical direction to make the whales appear taller, and the boat stubbier and the standing dude taller.

That would explain why the dude is calmly standing up in his little dingy which would be subject to an M 9.0 shock wave momentarily.
However the two Methvin pictures labeled 2014 and 2015 are not the same picture. They may be the same whales but are in different positions taken from different angles. They might have been taken on the same "roll". The differences can't be Photoshopped away.
Here's the picture I posted with just the vertical axis shrunk 25%
