Re: What is making you happy RN

He really is - even more so in person.

He is the cutest little land shark evah.

Sadly, the teething toys didn't arrive in time, so am improvising with his plushie toys, cardboard tubes and a rolled up puppy blanket.  He would, naturally, prefer to use my hand, slipper, dressing gown or anything else that comes near his maw when the devil is upon him, but we're working on that

Aw Dana, a christmas poo, Mr Hankie would be proud!  As dogs go, he's pretty cute, I'm happy for you.

Re: What is making you happy RN

Latest issue of The Economist  (20 Dec 2025) has a science article about how microbes from dogs may explain why teenagers become more sociable.  Entitled "Paws and effect".

Re: What is making you happy RN

I played the age card to be exempted from jury service. The summons was for duty as a standby juror and I have better things to do than sit in a courthouse all day just in case they run out of primary candidates. I’ve always answered the call in the past even though defense attorneys would use their peremptory challenge to excuse me from criminal cases anyway (after finding out about my unusual military background and deciding I knew too much). I ended up only serving on civil cases… borrrrrring. I’m glad that’s behind me.

The new pool passed inspection at the last section and we will open as planned tomorrow.  Despite the rain.
