Take special attention where the floor meets that shower - before doing any moulding.  Floor and shower will move.  Do not let that become an entry for water.

Obtain expensive chalk (ie GE or something else as or more expensive).  You want a seal between that shower and flooring that remains water tight.  That flexes and remains water right as those two items move during the next 20 years.

Wow, toilet in the shower, I bet that saves a lot of time.

Re: Adventures of Home Ownership

Thanks fargon.

Not to worry, bruce, I've had it moved out, sadly.

I haven't updated in a while because I'm having some difficulties with the vanity/sink plumbing.  I don't want to give any details because I don't want advice and there's some that give it regardless of want or need.  See above.

Hoping to get it solved this week.

Re: Adventures of Home Ownership

I understand what you're saying but when it's the written word you can read it or not, then take it or leave it. Plus you never know when something might be a solution or spark an idea of your own.

TLDR... can't hurt.

Re: Adventures of Home Ownership

@Bruce - yea, I just can't not read things, it's a deficiency for me.  Besides, I've got one more thing to try then I'm just calling in the professionals.

In other news, I've bought a freestanding pantry to replace open shelving.  It makes me very happy

Any chalk will do.  Simply chalk it up to experience.

Re: Adventures of Home Ownership

OMG youse, I have to share (sorry Beebro) at coffee after parkrun on Saturday (where all volunteer roles had been filled by kids) the parents were discussing how big their kids had become ...I zoned out for two seconds.. and when i returned one mom said of her son ...I had to get him to snip the end off the cock.

It only took a few seconds to realize what she had actually said, but a good few minutes to stop laughing after that.  Trying to do the closed mouth quiet type of laughing (because kids about).  It took several more minutes for everyone at the table to realize why I was laughing, and then to stop themselves laughing....
