Re: Trying out image hosting methods

Just posted an image on the Puppies etc topic using postimage.org and had to go through the nause of umpteen captcha screens.

I think that I might have created an account for that site in the dim and distant past.

If I can find the P/W I'll sign in and post; it would be interesting to see if that bypasses all the captcha checks.

Anyone else gone down that route?

Re: Trying out image hosting methods

I set up an account with postimage.org as that seemed to increase the storage space available or something. I have only had to do the captcha thingie once here. I’m a suckah and generally allow all cookies.

I'm puzzled by that. If I've interpreted the T&Cs correctly there doesn't seem to be the facility to opt out.
I've even had to go through the captcha rigmarole to make a post edit.
I wonder if paid for access disposes of the problem?

Beautiful video, and I like the boat.

Thank you. But I bet it was an uncomfortable trip!

Having been in that same situation I can attest to very uncomfortable ride.

I'm sure I heard the voice of Private Frazer saying something about 'a wild and lonely place'.

Re: Trying out image hosting methods

It’s interesting, I only got the Youtube icon after I’d tried pasting a YouTube link into the text box for that post. When I went back to edit it, the YouTube icon appeared and enabled me to post. It’s not visible now as I make this post.

Wow. Gorgeous.

Weird bug though, are you using the quick post vs post reply?

Re: Trying out image hosting methods

testing the quoting

was trying to see by what method I was able to produce this effect, of having the image actually display.  it's from my own google photos collection.  but even quoting the post doesn't let the underlying code be seen, dammit.
