Are you saying that the default search engine in your browser changed to Yahoo?   Or that Google's results have deteriorated to the point that they're no better than Yahoo?

Many software (including ant-virus softwares) change these setting in browsers.  Then one must go to a browser's system or setting page to restore that change.  And then, on another option, to delete the many malware options (such as Yahoo and Secure Search) that are listed as possible search engines.

Have yet to find any reply that will confirm which software are doing this.  And how to, in any browser) make such changes impossible (block such changes).

Do not know what has kept Yahoo in business.  Yahoo once has a superb page for TV selections (equivalent to TV Guide).  Then experts (because they are new programmers) created a whole new package.  On their message board, by the hundreds, users complained that the old software was necessary. New software even had many bugs.   But Yahoo management had taken on an MBA attitude.  Ignored all users.  It was new software. So it must be better.

Same with Word.  What idiot separated standard and always together functions (cut, paste, copy) on different pages (even on different sides of the screen).  Even on DEC machines (before VAX), all three functions were standard on a tab called Edit.

But a kid knows better than over 50 years of proven standards.  Because he feels.  Why would anyone ant that crap called Yahoo or Secure Search?   Apparently they pay someone to force it on us.


Somebody told me they pay a Secret Santa to come down your chimeny (or inside via your HVAC) to change those screeens.  I don't believe it.
