Dolly Parton, a national treasure, passed away at age 80. She had said that she “doesn't do politics.” Both Trump and Biden offered her the Presidential Medal of Freedom — she turned it down. Dolly actually passed on America's highest civilian honor THREE times. Trump offered it to her twice!

Not a fan of the music so much, but her dedication and commitment to literacy and humankind was unparalleled. A strong woman, self made -but far from selfish, who put her money where her mouth was. At 80, widowed and clearly suffering for a wee while, it was her time. The world is a better place for her having been in it. May all those who loved her be at peace knowing what she achieved and what high regard she was held in by so many people across the globe

Read the Dolly Parton Wikipage. Worth the read.
Born into poverty, Parton would write her first song aged six, perform regularly on TV by age ten, make her first recording at eleven, and became a professional songwriter at sixteen. After writing songs for others, she released her debut album, Hello, I'm Dolly (1967), starting a nearly 60-year career. She released 49 studio albums and wrote more than 3,000 songs, including "I Will Always Love You" (a two-time U.S. country chart-topper and an international ®for Whitney Houston that sold 24 million copies worldwide), "Jolene", "Coat of Many Colors", and "9 to 5"
Like her or not she was a pretty Awesome People.
