SE Texas swamp life

Went down to Brazos Bend State Park a while back. Good place to photograph the critters in the wetland/swampy areas there. 

An American White Ibis


This is a Yellow Crowned Night Herron 


This is a Little Blue Heron 
Here he is with lunch


These are Fulvous Whistling ducks, some call them Mexican ducks as they probably live in the Gulf coast area of Mexico as well as Texas. I don't know what they were all watching but it amused me, like some kind of duck performance.

we used to go to the Brazos when I was a kid, but up around Glen Rose

I didn't know it ran through a wetlands-- very cool photographs btw

I think the ducks at bottom were actually watching the guy with the camera.

Thank you, excellent as usual.
The purple dude, a heron I guess, I'd love to see him get that crayfish down without it getting loose.
