What about Dead Hobo Porn?

Not even to get a live dead hobo to come and blow me.

Too much damn work, I'd get lost halfway through the stuff he says he has to go through...

You're the one that can't see images, and apparently, is unwilling to do anything about it except repeat the problem.

I, and others, have tried to help, but the info you provide is so convoluted I can't follow you.

How in the hell did you ever come up with the process you use to look at the pics?  Nothing I could see would be worth going through that process.  Not even porn.

Did I say that before?  You're rubbing off on me, I suppose.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

Well, finally.
I should have realized the problem weeks or more ago. but it whizzed right over my head.
Boardhost.com, or at least this version of it, doesn't like Internet Explorer.
All the pic and link stuff that has been failing work when I use Google Chrome, which I keep open at the same time as IE for all the other places it fails.  .
For some reason I can't log in there, but maybe I'll figure that out, too.

Log in where Postimage? I never log in there. Or log in here?
If you have two browsers open, when the website requests that info in your computer sending two responses?
I have no idea 'cause I ain't a nerd, or geek, or whatever it is.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

I can't seem to log in to The Cellar on Chrome.
I kind of remember that one had to register from scratch on this new board.
I've tried using the forgot PW button, but got a new long-number PW that doesn't work.
I can see posts but can't reply.  Ok Ok, cool it with the sighs of relief.

Yes, everyone had to register from scratch because this is a completely new website, with no data transferred over. We just built a new house that looked as close to the old house as we could manage.

But your login credentials belong to the site, not the browser, so they should work the same whether you're using Internet Explorer or Chrome--the one exception possibly being that if you are currently logged in through an IE window, you may have trouble logging in simultaneously through a Chrome window. If you close your IE connection to the site entirely, and then open the site through Chrome and try to log in (with the same username and password you use when you successfully log on through IE,) does it work then?

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

Put simply: No
When I try to log in on Chrome with IE closed (for Cellar, other sites open), it says wrong password.
When I ask for a new PW, it sends a link and a number PW to use.
Then the link opens in IE. not Chrome.
If I use the new number PW in Chrome, it says wrong PW.

Wow, that's just bizarre. I'm sorry, I'm at a complete loss.

Change your default browser.

And/or, right-click on the link, choose the option lat copies the link, and then paste it into your chrome browser.

HM:  I do use the second technique you suggest.
I suppose there will come a time when IE folds altogether, but for the time being switching to Chrome as my default browser as a trial move several times over the last few months have disappointed me.
I still find more features I like with IE.
It is like throwing away an old coat: inevitable but sad.

I was just about to say, I prefer Firefox over Chrome myself.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

Why?
I don't know if he has Firefox or if he would see the pictures if he did.
Yeah, I know you can, but IE shouldn't be a problem so I wonder what's going on.
He said he's using IE but has to switch to chrome to see images.
So I wonder why he doesn't just use Chrome in the gitgo and save the trouble.

He is having trouble logging in to the Cellar on Chrome.  He detailed that in another thread.

I can only log in to Chrome on my Pixelbook and my pictures still don't work.

Is that because he signed up with a difference browser and hasn't cleared cookies.
I didn't think that would matter but who knows, I'm not a computer geek so I'm clueless.
This whole works with one browser and not with another is bizarre to me.
I've used various versions of IE, Chrome, and Firefox, but never ran into I couldn't use a certain browser on a certain machine, or a website would only work with a certain browser.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

Bruce:  I think you must have made the move to an IE alternate before they began to actively stop supporting certain websites.  Now that is most websites.
I got used to the IE features and hate to lose them.
In some ways Chrome or Firefox have always had advantages.  I'm just not ready to switch all the way over.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

What features does IE have, that's where I'm confused.
It's a browser, it connects you with websites, what do you mean supports websites?

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

I have a couple dozen of webpages that I visit regularly.
Bring A Trailer is one of them you might know.  I visit it most days and have for years.
Several months ago, it became unavailable on Internet Explorer.
That is the notice you get when you try.
It opens like it has for years on Chrome.
Different sites inform you different ways that you need to change, the most common being "This site no longer supports Internet Explorer"  and lists alternatives.
I can give you many more.  All I have to do is look t the favorites/bookmarks I have had to move over.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

For a while, IE had MS extensions that weren't part of HTML, but MS could get away with it because of their size, and some websites required IE (especially corporate internal ones that could control what browser their employees used, and  didn't want to bother making their pages cross-compatible).

Then MS stopped supporting/updating IE, and now IE, extensions or not, doesn't support all the latest HTML stuff, and now websites that don't want to support the older version of HTML that the final version of IE supported will refuse to load on it.

Re: Birdies... tit willow... tit willow... tit willow

Export your Favorites, save the file and import them into Chrome.

Tie IE to a concrete block and send it to your Recycle Bin and empty your recycle bin immediately after.

The "consequences' will be brief and transitory.

Then your life will be better in every way.
