Does not matter. The universe works on numbers using digits in base 2. Once we use dates based in base 8 or 16, only then does reality exist.
Man made a mistake because he has 10 finger. Even computer are not that dumb.

In my head I generally count things in eights.
This is a burned-in habit, because most musical phrases are grouped in two measures of 4/4, or 8 eighth notes.
