Her doc is way too conservative if she’s going to maintain bone mass. In her humble opinion.

This was a big day. That ridge beam has been living in my head too long.

The excavator was just short of landing the beam so I got to take the bucket up and winch in both ends. (Yikes)

Still grinding away here. The bucket lift is back on site for the roof. I’m having fun with it.

I've just realized, from that last angle, how sharp the hill is. Or is that foreshortening, and there's a substantial flat bit between the house and the edge of the slope? Are you going to build steps, a driveway, etc.?

Steep roof for shedding snow. What's your roofing material going to be? A metal roof would look sharp, if it's in the budget.

Clod: We’ll be entering from the right. The slope will be cut to get back to the natural slope after we finish construction so there won’t be a front yard.

Glatt: we’re going steel. I did it myself 30 years ago and am not interested in going through that again, so we have an Amish crew coming in a couple weeks.
