The Washington Post put up reader pics of the eclipse. One of the best was from New Russia the unincorporated town we're in up North. We're technically part of Elizabethtown.

Here's mine. The dogs hid under the car, the birds went quiet, and the mosquitos came out.

I was near the exclusion zone a few years ago. The thing that struck me the most was how quickly the temperature dropped. It's mind boggling how much heat we're getting from an object that is 93 MILLION miles away!

Only 1 Astronomical Unit.  Not very far away.

Plagiarizing Tommy Chong.

Could he have trademarked it?

Beautiful clear moonrise, 100% cloud cover during eclipse.

We had cloud cover during totality. I watched a while and got a couple of brief glimpses. Photo-wise, probably fine; I'm not sure I would have had enough light to get a clear picture with my setup anyway.

Pete wasn't feeling well so we didn't get up for it. I appreciate the pics!
