My buddy took this at Cayuga Lake. Why was last nights show leaning red instead of blue/green?

It would be really cool if this was red-shifting. But I think it's an indication of the type of gas and/or altitude.

IIRC, there's a large solar storm hitting us?
Yes I did RC.

Solar storm brings spectacular Northern Lights to sky-watchers as far south as Texas

Has anybody been in contact with Aliantha in Austrailia to see if she has seen the southern lights?
