We had a small scale early Thanksgiving planned for this weekend.  We should have done it a couple weeks ago. We can't justify it. Damnit.

well...... maybe consider "saving the thought" and plan to do a small "thankful we made it through" celebration alarmingly similar to a traditional November txg once it is safe to do so?  Something to look forward to because the people and the food etc are already planned?

I read this morning anyone coming into PA must be tested.

I saw last night that El Paso has "negative 12" beds on their dashboard. Ideally (given the circumstances) this means 12 people laid up in hallways at the hospital, at least getting oxygen. More likely, it means people at home on a waiting list, just hoping someone else in a bed dies before they do.

Don't break a bone or get sick with anything else in the next 3 months, y'all.

Things are really bad in El Paso, making the news even this far away.

Going to the hospital was something I avoided to my own detriment even before this crisis.  Still don't want to go, and now they don't want me there either.

Compared to the crisis in front of this country a missed Thanksgiving is small potatoes. Spare a thought for healthcare workers this winter.

Good plan for down-sizing next years festivities, cost effective in the long run.

Sorry, Griff. I hope your news is of the anxious kind, and not the done-and-unfixable kind.

Yeah, the anxiety provoking kind. It should be okay but...

I had the Marine over for dinner. He and his assistant enjoyed some football.
