I saved one of my project from a possible $20K oopsie at the end of today (like after normal work hours).  All due to my obsession with interesting names (and amazing attention to detail ;) ).  I'd better be seeing some emails of appreciation in the morning.....

They did appreciate.
$26K as it turns out..... :D  sometimes, I do rock. 

The initial email was just kinda "good catch" and so I was amused as the day went on and the team realized (a) the potential badness,  (b) it didn't happen,  and (c) it was very definitely me .....they seemed to be fighting via email as to who was the "team player" who made sure credit came to me in emails cc'd to the bigger cheeses. -I only alerted 2 people last night because that was all that was required to get it verified and stopped. 

Did I mention I rock?  I expect to be Queen by the end of the week.

why thank you.  I want to tell you what project this is, but I fear I can't.  I mean I can but....  It would not be good for my career.  But it does affect everyone in the US.  Well at least it did.  When there was an administration  that valued research.
