I was sifting through the Tube looking for Ken Curtis songs, the other night and came across this gem.

Milburn Stone was a fine singer!

With their sound system and my old ears, he sounded a lot like Dean Martin.
Well, it was a duet I think.
There was a part two offered at the YouTube link, with Deano playing the souse, real or not.

I really enjoyed that!  Thanks!  It's interesting, even my non-musician's ear can hear the different voices of the different instruments, despite their widely varying ranges.  I was a little confused by the superbass sax in the title card, I didn't see the other player.  Certainly that one monster saxophone wasn't playing both the high and low notes, was it?

Hey...

My life is in flux right now.  I find a little escape after work in the guilty pleasure of YouTube.  Here are some music videos, mostly Dance Dance Dance, that I find an excellent distraction.

First up, from "Rich Man's Frug" (wtfever that is, but thank you Google).  Is it just me or does the lead dancer here with the long ponytail remind you of Shawnee123?  (gosh it'd be great to hear from her again).  Anyhow.

I actually watched this one first.  I know a lot of these movies.. they're just positive entertainment.  and I'm high-grading the movies themselves (minus the Ben Stiller clip... sorry.  it's a cilantro thing)

I can feel things slipping tonight. Articulation, eloquence, linear thought.  And I still have to drive to Los Cazadores to pick up some taco plates and a chimichanga ...There will be more later.  But these are lovely, doncha think?

I'm trying to herd/corral/manage my intoxicated squirrel brain... and I want to just POST this goddamn idea...

Sex.
(inline edit: Ginger Rogers, Ann-Margaret, Lena Horne, Fred Astaire, Danny Kaye, Dick VanDyke, Sammy Davis, Jr.... only the ones whose faces I recognize from the compilation videos
yeah. like that last one.. .daaayum.  Here's one that's less indirect.

Ok.

Post before you lose your train of thought.

Back to the sex.. .ok, let's talk, in interpretive dance:

Dedications lead to tangents, tangents lead to memories, memories lead to curiosity, and as we all know all too well, curiosity is the Google's playground.

Fat Freddy's drop. I like this New Zealand band, the brass give they a warmer rounded sound.

This video in a whole concert but listen to the first song and you'll see what I mean.

You say klezmer, I hear clarinets.

But this shit is next level.

It's a short clip and by the time I got this post lined up, more videos streamed to me.  Holy crabcakes, batman.  What. A. Master. of her craft.  Benny Goodman, sit down.  (and I don't say that lightly.  daaaaayum)

Doreen Ketchens

Remember her name.

was listening to this one, my all time favorite track covered by Stevie Ray Vaughn, handed down to us from on high by Jimi Hendrix.

Honor, respect, and memories of wolf.
