If you've got a bunch of people coming, say 10 or 12, here's some suggestions.
Keep in mind a restaurant chef is big on pretty, how it plates, presentation.

Those look tasty, but I do not like seeing things like Korean chili flakes without an alternative suggested.

I know Bruce didn't invent those recipes so I can safely say that people who do have some weird personality traits.
Besides recommendations which involve the shining sun, what am I supposed to do with the unused halves of red and green cabbage?

Miss Kim is a place to go if you are a pretentious professor about to retire from UofM with more $$ than remaining sense.   I have two facebook "friends" who share when they are there. (not overly often....) Their plates look like they're on rations and remind me of Blackadder Goes Forth.   But that could just be me. ;)

G's Hippo Stir Fry
Aquire and slice baby hippo into manageable pieces, mind the drug lords.
Reduce hippo fat and store a drum of hippo lard in the back of the fridge for later.

  • 1 barrel chicken broth
  • 1 barrel full sodium soy sauce (what the hell, we're having hippo)
  • 5 shovels cornstarch
  • 5 shovels sugar
  • 5 shovels crushed garlic
  • 5 shovels sliced ginger
  • crushed red pepper to taste
  • 5 shovels hippo lard (see I told you to save it, now where you gonna get hippo lard?)
  • 1 boneless baby hippo cut into strips
  • 1 shovel broccoli broccoli
  • 1 shovel thinly sliced carrots
  • never use bell pepper, ever
