can I recoup my rep as a proud, rabidly anti-altruistic, misanthrope by sayin' you, flint, aren't among those I give a damn about?

cuz: you're not

So you are a Nazi.  You promote hate.  And contempt for all others who are not of your kind.  Heil Henry.

Perfect definition of one who is not a moderate.

what, you mean it's a big play-acting show, put on to impress your classmates?

I never would have suspected as much *definitely not dripping with sarcasm*

That's interesting information. I wonder how the concern lines up with pre-existing conditions? I'm in the 45-64 group, swim in the covid daily, vaxxed and boosted, currently no heart disease, obesity, or diabetes and put myself in the "not too" worried category. I imagine a health issue would move my needle.

some surprising data in that poll.

Boosted people are the most worried, when they should be the least worried.

The republicans just aren't worried as much about anything.  They don't worry as much that their kids will fall behind in remote learning  or socialization in remote learning, and they don't worry that students will get covid in person.  But they basically just hate change and don't want to go from in-person to remote. even though their kids will be just fine when they go remote.

I didn't read "their kids will be just fine" as a comparative statement.

I meant to write, "according to them, their kids will be just fine" which is admittedly an unfair characterization when most of them are concerned..

It would be accurate, according to the chart, to say they are less concerned than democrats about how their kids will fare in remote learning in the areas of academics and socialization.  That just doesn't make sense to me at all.

grey dots are Omicron what, specifically?  Not effectiveness, right?  You would think Omicron would go up as vaccine effectiveness goes down, not follow suit.  I don't understand what this chart is showing.

The new bane of my life is "ResponsiBlue" -the U of M covid symptom questionnaire that I have to do every morning before I go to work.  I mean srsly.  "Leaders and Best" are not going to contain a shit ton of students, staff and faculty who can write a quick bot to complete that every morning? "no no no no".  utterly pointless, but whatevs.I like getting paid.

They just retired our daily questionnaire.  Now it's a condition of employment that we will behave appropriately if we get covid symptoms, as defined in the HR manual.  No more daily test on the mobile phone app.  Yay!
