    Baltimore Bridge

    Carmen, a vehicle carrier, has just passed through the Francis Scott Key Bridge security zone on its way to the Panama Canal. Escorted by may tugs and at least one Coast Guard boat.

    A last major section of that bridge was removed (surprisingly at night) just a few days ago by the Chesapeake 1000 crane.  Opening the north side of a Federal Channel.

    At least three bulk carriers and three Navy supply ships might be shallow enough to follow.

    I suspect this has happened ahead of schedule.

    Oil chemical tanker used the temporary channel.  Rated at 9.7 meters.  That should be sufficient for many ships.  But not massive container ships.

    It would appear they are finally starting to remove bridge parts off the Dali.  Front is where all toxic containers are located. Unknown how that complicates things.

    First piece to come off appears to be bridge structure on the starboard side.
