Ontario launches multimillion-dollar U.S. ad campaign amid Trump's tariff threat | CBC NewsOntario has launched a multimillion-dollar U.S. ad campaign touting economic and cultural ties between the province and its southern neighbour as Canada faces the threat of 25 per cent tariffs enacted by president-elect Donald Trump."For generations, this ally to the north has been by your side: Ontario, Canada, a partner connected by shared history, shared values and a shared vision for what we can achieve together," a narrator says over new and archival video featuring shared landmarks like Niagara Falls and the Gordie Howe International Bridge."Stable and secure when the world around us isn't, you can rely on Ontario for energy to power your growing economy, and for the critical minerals crucial to new technologies," the 60-second ad says.
We watched too much football yesterday (go Steelers). Instead of being productive, we also watched the Bills game. I was surprised to see the Ontario advertisement. I've been hanging on to the idea that the stupid tariff idea would be for a pretend / nominal change with ring kissing like their first administration NAFTA name change to USMCA. Ontario may be taking it seriously.

It appears the tariff game was just a smoke screen while Musk proved that Americans were not prepared to defend their government. Once again, Trump has elicited promises from Canada and Mexico to do what they've already done. On the bright side he's promised to reduce arms traffic from the US to Mexico, not that he will.

Whatever a narcissist says is irrelevant, the only truth they tell is through their actions. That is something that is constant and true about a narcissist.

We're all going to understand that by the time this one croaks.
