Somewhere in Alabama, years ago, I drove by a State Police post that had an even dozen Mustang LX 'Specialty Pursuit Vehicles' (I think that's what it said on the side) parked out front. Two doors.

Ah yes, the large penis version, for the shoot 'em and take no prisoners crowd.
Highway pursuit being a cash cow they can buy dedicated vehicles so the cows can't get away.
You know how cars all look alike since wind tunnels, computers and mileage mandates took over?
I hear guys talking about the old days when cars were so different from each other.
But in the old days many were pursuing speed, or at least the illusion of fast, they tended to look similar.
A Chinese company is building these under their own brand...
I don't think this will work out. It ruins repeat sales.

That Chinese VW clone looks cool.

it does, but a four door?
.... a little disapppointing.

Cool if you're a pimp or millionaire playboy.
Should alway keep a few engines on hand...
And try to top this for a tow rig...
I wonder if they really cut up an Airstream or it's an Avon shell?

PSYCHE!

TinEye link goes nowhere and then tries to keep the window.

Yeah the Tin-Eye link is kaput.
The motor is not a photograph, it's an illustration, artists conception, drawing.
Looks like they copied Schumacher’s 11,000 hp, US Army Dragster engine.

When you're out in the countryside breathing fresh air and communing with nature, it's nice to have background music...

Ok, now I have a complex about the one working speaker in CherryBomb...
Online!
I actually miss the ritual of putting a stereo in whatever POS car I was driving.

yarp. I thought it was an image of a 3D printed model.
Like this one I photographed in a shop window in Lewiston, ID.

Don't know if this is a photoshop or custom build.
Don't know if it would be called a van or sedan delivery either..
But I do know I like it, although I'd have it painted.

You don't need a car/truck, this will make your mobility scooter or wheelchair shit & git.
The pros think about $20,000 when the dust settles.

Yup.

I expected one of those strangely captivating loading fails.
I wonder how many of those seize and sells there are.

Speeding over 124mph which falls under reckless driving, DUI driving, and 100% over the speed limit is "Insane Driving", all will result in losing the car, even if the offender doesn't own it.
In this case the owner/driver is an Iraqi living in Norway, and the law had been in effect 3 days.

Speaking of losing your car ...
or
Got Cars? Not anymore...
or
Gone in sixty seconds...
etc.

Sometimes they drop 'em too.
I have no clue about this thing.
I wonder if the engine drives a hydraulic pump and the wheels are driven by hydraulic motor(s)?.
Edit - Someone sent me a clue today, there's a shop in Canada making real looking V-8 engines from various manufacturers, with a large electric motor hidden inside. They bolt right in like a regular V-8, come with a battery and the wiring. The problem is the price is like $60,000 up.

I think a day at the beach would require some shade. Even a flat roof without sides would help.
The last DeSoto...
Offline
Our family's main car as I was growing up was a 1941 De Soto four dour with fluid drive.
I have always been partial to the marque and think this one is a beauty.

When Walter Chrysler and the bankers were at loggerheads over buying Dodge Brothers, Chrysler started the DeSoto line to compete with Dodge. Then the deal went through and they had to shuffle DeSoto in between Dodge and Chrysler so it was third tier above Plymouth and Dodge. But it's all Stellantis now.
