Good People

Abdul Muneeb, with that name he must have snuck in the country, taking a job away from
a British man with a family to support, while actually being a terrorist waiting for a chance
to molest the Queen.
No? But his name...

Well what do you know, even the groups of people who look, talk, and worship differently
than you have some good people.
If you can't find a good person, be one.

Re: Good People

Good people...

This was not severance pay, sale of the club doesn't mean the 26 will be out of a job, the new owners will decide.
This was a thanks for doing a good job.

Re: Good People

You know, just the other morning, I was hanging around in my house.
I had that new book with pictures of Madonna naked, I was checking it out.
Just then a friend of mine came through the door
Said she'd never picked me for a scumbag before
Said she didn't ever want to see me anymore
And I still don't know why.I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I just wanna live until I gotta die.

I know I ain't perfect, but God knows, I try.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm alright.Now maybe I'm dirty, and maybe I smoke a little dope.
It ain't like I'm going on TV and tearing pictures of the pope.
I know I get wild and I know I get drunk.
But it ain't like I gotta bunch of bodies in my trunk.
My old man used to call me a no-good punk
And I still don't know why.I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I just wanna live until I gotta die.
I know I ain't perfect, but God knows, I try.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm alright.
I think I'm alright; hell yeah! You know, just the other night, these cops pulled me over outside a bar.
They turned on their lights, and ordered me outta my car.
And I was only kidding when I called 'em a coupla dicks,
But still they made me do the Stupid Human Tricks,
And now I'm stuck in this jail with a bunch of dumb hicks
And I still don't know why.I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I just wanna live until I gotta die.
I know I ain't perfect, but God knows, I try.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm alright.
I think I'm an alright guy.
I think I'm alright
You know, I think I'm an alright guy...I really do; I'm alright!

Dolly... again. The company that operates Dollywood and 24 other parks, have a lot of employees. Some full time, some part time, and some are seasonal.
Every one of them from day one, the day they are hired, are eligible for college tuition, books and fees.
Every one...
from day one.
Damn.

Re: Good People

This surprised me. I assumed Rosa Parks would be at least a minor celebrity in the black community, and as such neighbors would look after her.

Re: Good People

Story in I think the Washington Post yesterday about a 65 year old woman up in Michigan or Minnesota somewhere whose car died unfixable so she has been walking 2.7 miles each way to work for a year. On the way home a little while ago she stop at a gas station to grab a snack and found on the ground a plastic bag with some papers and $15,000 in cash. She called the cops and waited for one to come get it. The cops found the owners, a couple who lost it on the way home from their wedding where they had been given the money from a bunch of folks.
Grandma said she didn't keep it because it wasn't hers, plain and simple.

The wife of the cop who came out for the money set up a gofundme and collected $60,000 from people who still appreciate the woman's attitude/honesty.
She bought a Jeep vehicle with steering wheel heater and most every option. To be fair, there might have been few choices available for the last year or so.
She said she  can now visit her grandkids and give people at work rides when they need it.
Nice Lady
