I understand that students who achieved a 2.2 degree refer to having attained a 'Desmond'.

Yes, I know it's in questionable taste but amusing things often are.

Oh they do indeed.  If parkrun falls on the 22nd, We call it tutu day and some wear tutus but I've been quietly campaigning for archbishop attire as an alternative.  Only one taker so far, and they were volunteering in a non-running role but maybe it'll catch on....

Richard Leakey:  About my age and believe it or not I knew his father, Louis, who taught a summer seminar where I was doing post-graduate work.
Saget:  Never my favorite TV guy.  Doesn't help that I read today that he was often seriously and offensively vulgar.

Yes, but he did it in away that flummoxed the censors.
They can only censor what you say, not what most know you mean.

He was great in "The Aristocrats".  Not a movie for Diaphone Jim, apparently.

I tried to find a screenshot of the Beatles face-palming after Ringo says, "We're not sub-scribers." in the Yellow Submarine, but anyway here's the mental picture:

The Rolling Stones were her opening act.  Who (it is said by Keith Richards) taught the Stones how to dance and how to perform.  Her amazing career include signing with Billy Joel and Bruce Springsteen.

When she saw "Dirty Dancing", she asked why she never received a penny for her part in that movie.  One need only understand Phil Spector.  The Satan in her life.

One can honesty say she was as old as Rock and Roll.  And was there for all the best of it.
