I'm reading a book on John Colter. During the Lewis and Clark Expedition they lost some horses in those mountains. Colter went, alone I think, and retrieved the horses and shot a mess of deer in his spare time. Dude knew how to live.

The Tetons are cool because they have no foothills so you can get closer to the big pointy peaks.
The last time I was there it was September and even then it was chilly at night.
