I built this thing but put the pictures on r/woodwroking

So yeah, I spent way too long building this piece but it came out great and kept me busy during the major parts of the pandemic.

That's wonderful! How many hours do you figure... or do you try not to?

All of them.

I have the tally somewhere. I definitely shot way past my estimate.  It was in the hundreds.

Good job.  Really good job.

That's beautiful.  Seriously.

And the color tone came out really nice.  I like how the inside is a contrasting light color.  Your customer will be able to put a lot of junk in that, never to be seen again.

Wow.

You're a artisan cabinetmaker.  I, on the other hand, am ... not.  Am ... filled with admiration.  Am jealous.  What a beautiful piece of work.  Bravo.

Re: I built this thing but put the pictures on r/woodwroking

Thanks everyone for your kind words! I'm glad it's behind me. The main challenge, note I didn't say 'biggest', was the relative size of the piece versus the size of my shop. Its foot print was 6% of my total shop floor space and maybe 30% of available floor space. There was a lot of shuffling and moving of parts and materials.
It was a good covid project for sure.
