Re: Motorcycles and other two wheel powered vehicles

Hasn't started yet but they're full up...

This was the route announced for 2020 but was delayed until 2021. It's been a nightmare trying to arrange facilities for 100 bikes and riders overnights.

Re: Motorcycles and other two wheel powered vehicles

This has me stumped. It's what a second, half a second, maybe even less in time? They didn't see it and swing around to grab the picture, it's just too clear. Doesn't look like a video frame either. Why was the camera pointing at that corner? For a race later, maybe a tourist road like the Tail of the Dragon where they take everyone's picture with hopes of selling them to you. Damifino.

Re: Motorcycles and other two wheel powered vehicles

I'd say the passenger is about to fly off there while the bike and/or the rider continue down the road with very little likelihood that they will stay together.
He is already lifted off the seat and, holding on to the rider's shoulders, may take him along.
Nothing good could have come of this situation.

I've tried and given up identifying the movie I'm reminded of by that image.  In the movie, a cart/carriage/wagon like that is used to lure and trap kids.  I give up.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?  Though that was just a barred wagon, no motorcycle.

Yes!

That's the one. It's the cage not the motorcycle.

Hormel had this bike built to run on pig fat (biodiesel) and had a guy ride it cross country hitting all the places to be seen like Vegas and Sturgis.

Re:  The gas tank in post #43

You questioned the legality of a glass gas tank.  I don't know where the dude is, but, in KY it's illegal to put gas in anything but an approved container.  And, again, I can only speak to KY rules, that means a metal/plastic commercial 'gas can.'

Absolutely no glass.  We can't even use plastic milk jugs no mo.

I can't imagine the other states being any different.

Smells a damn sight better than a two-stroke, I bet.

I agree.  Had to fight two different kinds yesterday to transfer some gas.
Each one requires a different trick to make it work, i.e. bypass its "safety" gimmick,
But the old WWII metal Jerry cans were a pain, too.

Re: Motorcycles and other two wheel powered vehicles

That's because the jerry cans didn't have a spout, needed a big funnel at just the right angle and location or you'd spill it for sure.

Guess what, Harley didn't invent the softail, it was Road Worx.
Harley was so impressed they bought the company.
