An excerpt:modulumi is a flexible modular building system— like lego for origami. You can assemble the modulumi flex-pieces in countless ways to create your own kinetic light sculptures. The patent-pending system interweaves to create unique 3D forms that connect, flex and transform with a satisfying snap.
They're clever, and they remind me of your word displayed in this thread. Enjoy!

Those are cool. Though I'm set on the polyhedra, I should find out where their LEDs come from.

Wow, they plan on selling 30 pieces of one color for $49?
I'd have to fondle them first to spend that much.
Offline
Yeah, I find it difficult to imagine them selling much at that price.

I liked learning the difference between platonic solids, archimedian solids, and catalan solids.

Ok, I, too, find this post editor.... lacking. I attempted to start the video at 5:10. It didn't work. That's ok, all these doodads are capital A, Awesome. The one at 5:10, I want for Happy Monkey.

Very cool. I see these videos pop up on YouTube every so often and I am always tempted to buy something.

'Lacking' is the friendliest word for it.

A couple more:
Color-changer. This one has one-way mirror film embedded in the tape, to reflect the light around inside.

Glowing Icosahedron
This one has rhombuses that are blue on one side, and reflective on the other, with half facing one way and half facing the other way, plus transparent rhombuses to finish it off.

Those look excellent, as always. And I like the idea of one way mirror tape.
And these words. Do you make them up? Triacontahedron? Icosahedron? Those words sound cromulent, but you're pulling our legs, aren't you?

"Rhombic Triacontahedron" ...I'm pretty sure Pfizer has a drug for that

nice work, HM, I have envy of your mad skillz! Please could you remind me of the approximate dimensions so I can get a better mental image?

They're real names; I look for new polyhedra to try.
As for size, the first is closer to softball than volleyball. The distance from a triangle edge to the opposite point is the width of packing tape.
The second is about pool ball size. The longer distance between two points on a diamond is 2 inches.

You... you and your *fixation* on polyhedra.
They're lovely, really. Ok, I ... anyhow. These are not polyhedra. They ARE fascinating. I hope you can find inspiration from the video and the concept of Phyllotactic Spirals.
gobsmacked.

Very cool. I'd seen a lot of those before, but the collection of all of them together, with the lecture was awesome.
