Miraculously, I managed to get today's Squardle.
I won Daily Squardle #57 with 1 guess to spare!

Well, friends. Wordle's fun. I enjoyed it until I scorned it as a NYT product. Just on principle, of course.
Here's my new tormentor. I read that it's like if you cranked the difficulty knob on Wordle all the way to "hard" so violently it snapped off. It's called Semantle. Â
From Inputmag.com:
'Semantle' is like 'Wordle' on God level difficulty 236
The number of tries it took to win my first game of Semantle.

There are a lot of heavenly bodies in the Wordle universe, but the recently discovered Semantle is its black hole — a location situated within the internet’s space-time that draws you in, consumes your mental faculties, and crushes your spirit into an infinitesimal point of desperation. In short: It’s basically the Elden Ring of word logic games — Wordle on God Level Difficulty setting — and both addictive and fascinating in a way its progenitor can’t match. Trust me: You are not prepared for what lies ahead of you.
...
Wordle is dead, as far as I’m concerned. Leave it behind the New York Time’s paywall. Something like Semantle feels more ingenious, pure, and because of its ridiculous complexity, unlikely to become defiled by the highest corporate bidder anytime soon...
Soon. Imminent. Near. Aside. Detour. Rabbit hole.
The good news is that your suffering will never last longer than twenty-four hours, since a new secret word is chose at 0000 hrs UTC.  On the other hand, if you sleep for eight of those, you'll probably be locked in struggle for the other sixteen. I've been playing it awhile and have *just* now won my first game. I'll include my whole game, all you can't see are the elapsed minutes and hours between 995/1000 and 999/1000. No spoilers since the game can't be played again. You guys, you're gonna love hating it, just like I do.

Yeah, that's a good one. I get sick of it, but keep coming back every couple weeks.

I got four letters first try, then managed to try each of them in different positions before getting any of them in the right position.
