Pete and I had quite a weekend. We stayed with the neighbors up North while we did a bit of an Adirondack sampler. I got the back story on the old man across the way Staten Island to Quebec to ADK. He was visiting a friend in the area and found out the local dentist had died and they needed a dental generalist. He was tired of the gig in Canada since every interesting case was sent to a specialist... 50 years later we're having dinner in a pretty backwoods home.
Very welcoming folks who know everybody around there, so we're being pulled in. In a good way. We got to know the kid doing our contracting a little better. He dated the girl who showed us the property, small place. lol

Nice. Building a community.

Small community, better in than out. Real people always welcome real people. With your demeanor and Pete's million dollar smile they'll welcome you wholeheartedly. Might even show you the still. LoL

Thanks guys the Emerald Ash Borer has me way ahead of schedule on putting wood in. On the other side of natures coin I found a stand of beech apparently unaffected by bark disease.

Working your Ash off, but sometimes life's a Beech.
