The list was in the notice to DJs they would be suspended if they even mentioned them on the air. Probably gleaned from warnings passed around between station or multi-station managers. Back before a couple of corporations owned everything on the air.

I left my old school ipod playing and walked away for dinner and to mow the lawn, and when I got back, Paul McCartney's Pipes of Peace album was playing. I listened to the last handful of songs on it.
I don't know that I ever thought it was actually any good, but boy, it didn't age well.
