    Scorched grooves rekindled

    My groove is currently being scorched by the annual pay increase email I received just before leaving work "which will take into account the current rate of inflation". 3.5-4% effective 1st September

    hmm. I just checked and the current US rate of inflation is just shy of 10%.  And I got a glowing annual review so..... oooh, I'll only be getting a 6% paycut to recognize my amazingness.

    Yeah.  I got an "Outstanding" performance evaluation in July and a 4% raise.  woot?
