Re: Aircraft.

I hadn't seen this De Havilland DH 83 Fox Moth before, it's pretty and unique.
The pilot carried four passengers  for 375 miles max at about 100 mph.
Only about 150 were built but still profitable because the engine, wings, rudder, and most of the parts except the frame were interchangeable with the Tiger Moth which were being bought in droves during the 1930s by militaries for training new pilots.

Re: Aircraft.

That is a good looking plane.
Except for some tandems, no other pilot-in-the-rear configuration comes to mind.

Seeing one of these low over my house was the only highpoint of three years of local fires.

Re: Aircraft.

Flying to Spain on a 747, the first class section had stairs to a lounge in that top bump behind the cockpit.
I was surprised how noisy it was up there, wind noise as near as I could tell.

It's the same plane, wings swept back at 1400 mph.

I got the wings thing, but the tail, nose, engines and top surface also appear to be different.
Maybe same plane but different models?

Unless it's before and after a paint job, and/or metal finishing, that's two different planes.  Same model, different planes.

Re: Aircraft.

Correct,  I should have said same model different paint.

Re: Aircraft.

Well, I am glad you posted it.  I don't recall ever seeing that plane before.  Reminds me of the B-1.  So did we steal the B-1 idea from them or did they steal it from us?
