CME

Quite possible tonight in the northern horizon is a CME (an aurora). A CME that was not expected to be so strong.

CME = Chicago Mercantile Exchange. That is to the south of me.

Re: CME

I enjoyed the CMEP back in the day.  I put together a playlist from it on my iPod that I listen to from time to time.

I think I only saw some stars when I was there.  Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd.

Re: CME

We're suffering a deluge of acronyms, most of which are only familiar to a certain group of people.
Plus as the majority are 2 to 4 letters they are used over and over by dozens of groups/organizations/trades.
Talking to someone on a topic you are both familiar with acronyms are a useful tool.
Just throwing them out at people who you didn't even tell what the topic's about, is pretentious.

...and your little dog too.

"CME (an aurora)"

"CME = Chicago Mercantile Exchange."

"CMEP":  Center for Multicultural Education and Programs

Did not know iPods had an educational feature
...  long before right wing extremists decided we must protect our children from such knowledge.
