Will I ever get over this?

accidentally saw a wedding on what I was youtubing. "Till we are parted by death"  It's been nearly 6 years.  bawling. (and it stings cos my skin is dry from winter)  Thanks for listening, it helps.

....and yes, I know I won't.  It'll just change and maybe become more bearable.

Re: Will I ever get over this?

yes it does
and an occasional comparison can provide some insight into that change
by asking oneself
if it had been me instead of them
how far along the change would they be after this amount of time?

Re: Will I ever get over this?

I know you are, thanks.  Mostly, just saying/writing it helps.  and having a forum where I can do that.  IRL people can be too......   .......much :D

Re: Will I ever get over this?

Everyone is an individual, but in general from what I've experienced and others have shared, you will never get over it. However in time(huge variable) thinking of the loss will become more melancholy sadness and less terrifying pain.
But your mileage may vary.
Since we don't know what happens after death, they could be watching us, we might be entertainment on afterlife cable.
So I figure what the hell, talk to them... can't hurt... might help.
