Could someone explain to me why in God’s name is Donald Trump still being seen as a possible US president?. I watched some of his speech yesterday and as my title suggests was subject to listening to his Incoherent ramblings, now I know he’s famous in his speeches for going off in tangents but that yesterday was dire. Even CNN and CNBC pulled live commentary and started to discuss relevant points he was trying to bring up of which there was not many that made any sense, although I loved the comment from a CNN reporter who made the point that Trump said If they can do it to me they can do it to anyone, yes she said they will do it to anyone if the rap-sheet was as bad as his, that made me LOL. Also can anyone tell me why in a country with approx 290 million adults that Trump and Biden are the best you can come up with?, now I’m not saying UK politicians or Government Ministers are better here ( Liz Truss anyone) but there must be better candidates in the US political system somewhere.

Some of his fellow politicians think they can harness the mania so they feed the fire instead of snuffing it out.

Some are afraid they'll be attacked by his least stable believers.

Many Americans don't like democracy preferring to be subjects.

Stephanie Grisham was Trump's press secretary. Never held a press conference in one year. Was in the Trump White House for all four years.

She has some interesting comments. Amazed how Trump connected with his audience. He said little that is honest or supported by facts. But that does not matter. He is not targeting people thinking logically. He is targeting people who make decisions only from their emotions. Intentionally ignore facts.

Hitler, Milosevic, Mussolini, and other despots in history did this same thing. One technique is to throw shit on the wall. Then watch what sticks.

On 6 Jan, she was shocked at what was ongoing. So she woke up Melania Trump; told her what was occurring. And recommended Melania tell Donald to stop. Melania refused. So many others in Trump's family, his advisors, and even most of Fox New tried to do same.

Stephanie was shocked. Then submitted her resignation, effective immediately. Was that much disgusted by Trump. As did many other Trump staffers.

Melania Trump is about to be traded in for a new model. Trump does this every decade or so. No accident that Meania, Ivanka, and Jared Kushner never appear with Trump in public. But when a supporter is easily enthralled only by his emotions, then relevant facts, such as this, are intentionally ignored.

That Hitler was also murdering even his closest supporters to entrench his power - also blatantly ignored by Germans who only thought emotionally. And therefore loved Hitler. Those extremists are a source of despot power.

Yes, be concerned. Since Trump has stated his intent to change government into a dictatorship. And has already announced which political adversaries will be prosecuted as political prisoners. He is already talking publicly talking about converting the American government into an autocracy with all power centralized and expanded within the Executive branch. The similarities between him and 1930 Hitler are quite stunning.

A reporter ask him if he knew he was using expressions also found in Hitler's book. He said he did not know that - in his rather dismissive manner. He makes similar accusations, insults, and attacks. Since that makes him popular among people who make decisions only from their emotions. He connects with an audience that is enthralled by hate, derision, and racist concepts. No wonder the KKK, Nazis, and White Supremacists united to publicly support him. Those are his people. As Stephanie noted, he connects with them. She was amazed.

I'm very excited by the prospect of Pete sitting in the minority judge of elections chair this year. /s

On the bright side, the coroners report will say it's not a machine gun, it's a normal semi-automatic rifle capable of hundreds of rounds a minute. I wonder if the Supreme Court will think they're so clever when MAGA inevitably turns on them, during their reign of terror.

Trump is using reasoning similar to what Hitler was using when he also wanted to destroy democracy. His intent was also to empower and embolden a despot - himself. By also subverting the German Congress and Judiciary. Since the legal system in Germany had ruled so often against him.

Why did Hitler become powerful? His supporters were adults who are still children. Who were enthralled by his soundbites, machismo, and hate.

Facts that get ignored. Notice who in his family long longer shows up or campaigns for him. Where is Melania today. Is she still alive? When is he divorce? How many times has he cheated on her?

Siri can go fuck herself. She keeps calling my wife repeatedly when I'm just walking around. At least it's not my boss. I keep poking around my settings and turning everything remotely automated off, and it still happens from time to time.

That could be a combination of Siri and Voice Control settings. A couple of things to try if you haven’t already done so:

Settings>Touch ID & Passcode>Voice Dial>(toggle) OFF

If you don’t want to lose voice dial entirely,

Settings>Touch ID & Passcode *ALLOW ACCESS WHEN LOCKED*>Return Missed Calls>(toggle) OFF

This second one is to keep an inadvertent bump or brush of the lock screen from triggering a call back to the last caller whose call you couldn’t take right away (may have been your wife).

I’m not using Siri at all… completely disabled. Got nothing against the AI, it’s just that Goggle does too much data mining. I installed Alexa, completely enabled, and that works for me. YMMV.

thanks. I turned off a few more settings. I don't know what half this stuff is that I find in settings. When in doubt, turn it off.
