Hope the weather has been good.
Most vacationers don't make it that far up the coast. Was it crowded?

Get there now while the weather is still civil.

Bar Harbor was a mad house but parts of Acadia were pretty quiet. Little G's boyfriend had a Spiedie and Rib Pit t-shirt on so we ended up running into some folks local to here. We actually knew someone in common from my subbing days in the '90s. We went to the blueberry festival in Machias which was pretty cool. One of the churches had some guys frying blueberry hand pies to order. They are my new favorite thing. The pre-sunrise pic is from Pigeon Hill near where we stayed. It was cool getting to know the tide cycle.

The weather started on the foggy side but ended with spectacular sunshine.

I love getting to know the tide cycle. There was a sandbar out to an island that got exposed at low tide when I was at Popham for the 4th of July. So we were very aware of the tides.

Yeah that’s a whole different way of life.
Watching the lobster boats getting out early from the top of Pigeon Hill was worth getting up early.

Bar Harbor, er... Bah Habah is always nuts, people with money and people who want to take it from them.
But the rest of Maine is nice.
Of course the coast, also the woodlands, the showroom in Thomaston selling things the inmates at the state prison make for sale, and seafood everywhere. Lobster in a hot dog bun at a roadside stand, is not to be missed.
