Hurricane Milton

....I guess with a name like Milton it has something to prove......

Re: Hurricane Milton

Viewing temperatures in the Gulf indicates only warm water is in the southern areas around the Yucatan Pennisula and Cuba.  But that is the only place that Milton is traveling.  So it was certain to ballon up.

There is cooler water as it approaches FL (where it is approaching).  But more hot water off the FL coast.  So it might ease up.  And then ballon up again.

If it goes south of Tampa (Fort Myers or farther), then water there is warmer.  Then it might be much worse.

Re: Hurricane Milton

Minifob's university is closed Tuesday-Friday, and they are encouraged to leave but allowed to stay. It seems to be more of a liability/logistics issue for the school than an actual danger. The mandatory evacuations closer to the coast are being told to go to the local high school for shelter, which is closer to the water and not as tall as Minifob's dorm, so he's going to stay put along with most of his classmates.

Stress can cause that; but, if he gets plenty of fiber and water it shouldn't be a problem (might only have to work on the fiber).

I hope he fairs well. Pete's in the panhandle this week, she says the ocean is bath warm there, but we're more used to Jersey beaches.
