    Challenge

    Let's do the Little Drummer Boy challenge. Let's see how long we can go with out hearing that song. From now until 25 December.

    As a fan of "TLDB," I have offered before listen to it whenever it is played and save all of you the pain.
    Not sure how to actually do that, however.
    Too bad IC left before taking a side in this important matter.

    The Pentatonics rendition is oft included, along with the old standbys, as one of the more popular versions. It’s a somewhat pop style rather than in the traditional style of the old crooners. It adds variety (variety is the spice of life) and is well enough done to be worth a listen if you haven’t heard it before. Of course I’m not going to post the video; but, here’s a YouTube link and a still picture from it:

    Not my favorite version, but OK.

    Some stations already started Christmas songs a week before Thanksgiving.  I will give thanks the day after Christmas.

    The coffee shop we frequent after parkrun was playing christmas music TWO WEEKS BEFORE HALLOWEEN.  Biggby's . They said it was a corporate requirement.

    I didn't know we were talking about Christmas music in general.
    It is always too early and too pervasive. TLDB is not the worst, however, IMO.
