Is this an AI image? This is the worst drawing I have ever seen.
This was the thumbnail for a published article. They thought this was ready for the press.
Is it possible that, given the choice of a free, AI image, they paid an intern $5 to draw this?

The girls' arms are crossing. each has an arm around the man's neck. the arm on the left (right gir's arm) seems a bit too big, but otherwise makes sense spatially. I guess human.

I see it as outer arms folded and inner arms extended. Left girl's outer elbow is down, right girl's outer elbow is pointed back. Right girl's inner arm is a bit bigger than I would expect, but not egregiously so, in my view.

I haven't read any of the Captain Underpants books, but my nephews and niece are crazy for the Dogman books by the same author. They are amusing. They have the potty humor one may expect from the author of Captain Underpants, but are also occasionally clever or insightful.
