    Why not just a $57,000 fine?  Does that odd number also include a sales tax?  Was it $53,000 fine plus 6% sales tax and a city tax?

    It’s the calculated amount he would earn for 1 game based on a percentage of his salary. They apparently weren’t going to let him slide on any of it. They’ll probably withhold the amount so he can’t try to pay it all in $2 bills.
