Even when Nixon threw South Vietnam under the bus, he did not cut off all supplies.  Never do what extremists routinely do.  Ignore facts.  Zelensky was ordered to surrender by Thanksgiving. Or lose all support.

Trump wants a Nobel Prize.  He will do anything to appease his ego. He negotiated the surrender of Ukraine without Ukraine even at the table.   Ukraine must surrender their territory - and some more.  Cut down the size of their military.  Have no guarantees from future Russian attacks.  Ukraine cannot even join NATO - the only guarantee against more wars and stolen land.  Even NATO planes, to defend Ukraine, must be no closer than Poland.

Why did Nixon throw S Vietnam under the bus?  North Vietnam gave him an American surrender that did not look like a surrender.  Why is Trump throwing Ukraine under the same bus?   Putin has again played a superb chess game.  That wins multiple victories while appealing to Trump's ego.  Scary is how many extremists think this is good.

Meanwhile, over in Asia and Africa, many traditional American friends are now moving even faster aways from America.  Already half of Africa is thumbing their noses at  America.  Moving closer to China.  Reasons for being friends with America are disappearing quickly.  Even Voice of American, Radio Free Europe, and Radio Liberty are gone.  America not longer broadcasts honest news.  No problem.  Everyone is told how Trump makes the world safer.  By even giving Putin what he wants.
