I'm starting a script today.
I'm writing the opening scene.
I've got the world's ontological consistency figured out well enough to start populating it with my slush pile of scenes, settings, characters and relationships.

To angry for an elf.

Anger is for peasants. This is contempt.

Excuse me please.

EXCUSES ARE FOR THE WEAK!!

Simon: "This isn't fear. This is anger."
Mal: "Well, it's...kinda hard to tell with a face like yours."
Simon: "Well I imagine if it were fear, my eyes would be wider."

Look at those ears. He barely hears anything. He must be an extremist. Explains those angry eyes and a scowel.

I organically watched this series/movie over the holidays. My son was interested because people kept mentioning it in reference to the Traveller RPG system.

I hope you liked it; it's one of my favorites.

Oh, yeah, man it's one of my favorites, too.
Same, I assume, for anyone who has seen it.
I just re-watched it all again for the several'th time. But it had been long enough since I'd seen it that I forgot the quote until right when he said it.
Yeah, I was telling my kids, "this is commonly known as the best show that was ever cancelled" and I think that's pretty true, I can't think of a better example. Maybe Futurama, but Firefly was ONE SEASON.
My daughter, who is the world's biggest, most opinionated critic of everything, sat there and watched the whole thing without a peep. I mentioned that River is "Elektra: Assassin" and she grunted agreement (having just read the Frank Miller/Bill Sienkiewicz 8-issue masterpiece)*
*comics nerd tangent here, but it's hard to explain to someone who wasn't there at the time, that when we all picked up Elektra: Assassin, nobody had ever seen anything like that before .. at that time, comics were 1. pencils 2. inks 3. and the standard color palette .. it's hard to describe how mind-blowing Sienkiewicz was

We’ve been pretty insular and off electronics while building the cabin, but I should probably retrieve my Firefly DVDs…
