And so he is gone (going).  Representing a major problem in the UK.  Where so many are so naive as to even vote for Brexit.  As a result, UK GNP dropped something more than 6% over ten years.  Growth (if it exists at all) is something like 1%.  UK will have seven prime ministers in ten years.

UK has so refused to prosper from innovation.  Even a third of its naval ships are out of service  awaiting repairs. UK was once a world leader in ship building.  It now produces only 1 to 3 large ships annually. Compared to about 1000 from China.  UKs problems are directly traceable to a population that remains world leaders in research but has diminished educational and technical knowledge among its masses.  UK, once a leader in cars and engines, has a shortage of people willing to innovate.  This same insufficient knowledge explain why the masses choose to shoot themselves in the foot.  Voted for Brexit.

Even their leaders cannot explain this problem to a population.  Who only cast blame.  Who do not always and first ask why.

Why an increase in ignorance?  Many completely different suspects are named.  Including social media.  That teaches people to be ordered what to believe.   Not think for themselves.  Maybe.  But that remains a question ignored by so many (even in the Cellar) when this thread started.
