Census 2020
The census has been going on under difficult conditions, and pretty quick the results will be announced.

That's what I thought. Any idea what those numbers are based in? Projections? Leaks in Washington from whistle blowers who are doing the census?

The census does the 10 year tally and also a 5 year sampling. I have the honor/horror of being chosen for grilling every five years. Also the government and the FED as well as some private think tanks keep track of shifting demographics. Probably General Motors and General Mills could come up with reasonably accurate information for the chart. I noticed when was gathering the charts for the How Did We Get Here thread some had footnotes on frequency of data gathering and may of them have picked up in the last five years.

How is this done in places by the United Kingdom or Gremany? Do they have a census? Or do sampling? I understand redistricting in UK is done every five years. Based upon what?
