Yes, I know that I'm guilty of anthropomorphism but the expressions on the faces of these Vizslas seem to include puzzlement and slight disdain.

I can't swear you interpretations of the expressions is accurate but I can swear dogs have those feelings.
The reason they have us beat is they have parallel feelings except they never feel sorry for themselves.

Dogs are cool, I love them all... almost.
Every once in awhile you run into a hellhound and there is nothing you can do except get away.

I always feel bad for them but learned the hard way, just leave.

One of the drawbacks of dogs is they need exercise so apartments are not ideal,
However you can hire pros to handle that chore..

Not all dogs are as easily swayed by the offer of some meat.
Simon Reeve, in the TV series documenting his travels along the Tropic of Cancer, wasn't convinced that he was being offered squirrel to eat in Laos.
A passing dog was asked for his opinion.

Truant is high energy, that's a prerequisite to winning the Masters Agility Championship.
But running the agility course in a minute or so doesn't burn much energy.
