I stumbled on this report published in early 2023.
=13px

=13pxI was surprised Spirits have pulled slightly ahead of beer in Market Share while wine is a distant 3rd.
=13pxI thought with all the wine memes on the net it had a bigger footprint.
=13pxI gather the reason Spirits have taken a big jump is various smaller items like Tequila, Cordials, Rums, have developed a loyal following. Vodka holds onto #1 but pre-mixed cocktails are balls to the wall gaining due to convenience and portability.

2021 to 2022 how it happened...

This sort of stuff your may find interesting, worth a cursory check or eyeroll and move on.
That's the best part of my edumacation program, it's not mandatory and we still validate parking.

Someone did a poll on candy brand recognition.
Probably to convince makers to up their advertising budget.
If that's true can it be trusted?

I don't remember Milka by name, but I looked it up and recognize the packaging.

Most of the names at the bottom are companies that offer multiple candy bars, while most of the names at the top are individual candy bars.

Kinder surprises me that it has such a presence.  I see it in stores, and assume they must be paying for product placement.  They used to have the surprise eggs that were banned in the US, and that was the only reason they were on my radar at all.  I'd always buy them when travelling abroad.  The chocolate is ok, but nothing special.  Does anyone know of anyone who eats Kinder?

Kinder Eggs used to be everywhere till the feds banned them.
I could mail order them from Canada for awhile then that stopped.
They had great toys inside which were deemed a choking hazard like Cracker Jacks toys.
And like Cracker Jack, Kinder had to come up with sucky stuff to satisfy the feds.
Hey, don't give chokers to kids. Will you outlaw screws, thumbtacks, washers, and nuts?

The top three "light" American beers must be made there, right? Maybe most of them.
Who the hell would ship them halfway around the world?

Thinking about both your Christmas and New Year dessert choices makes my mouth water, even at 9 AM.

I am not sure how widespread the Bargain Market/Food for Less (AKA Used Food store) chain is, but my local one has a huge, chaotic, wine section.
It is hard to keep track of their Ports, and sometimes hard to find them twice, but I buy them for the price and have not been too disappointed yet. There may be as many as 20.
No TBA's or Sauternes yet.

I should have said "Grocery Outlet, Bargain Market."
