If you're paying 2½ times the price of a Rolls you certainly have serfs to do that wax on wax off.

Somebody turned a '55 Jeep station wagon or panel truck into a damn pretty pickup.
Much nicer than the factory stepsides and stake bodys.

Much nicer to look at than the current four-doored-abomination-to-the-eye...

Easily the ugliest thing on the road right now.

In January of 1944 a MN farmer managed to buy a new jeep that had been built by Ford but rejected by the military at final inspection. He immediately named it Smiley and proceeded to drive it 170 miles home. A reporter and photographer decided to ride along for the story... in a military Jeep... with no doors, windows, roof, actually just a windshield between them and MN in January. The thing that got me is children (probably adults too) had heard of a Jeep but never seen one in person. Duh, Jeep didn’t exist before 1941 and weren’t in civilian hands until after the war... I just hadn't thought about it.

cool story!

1 -- a 65 degree incline?  not without a f*ckin rollbar thank you very much.

2 -- why was Smiley graded "I. C."?

They never said why it failed, by the end of '43 they were cranking out jeeps so fast if there's a problem it was probably not worth fixing as there's a steady stream right behind it... several streams at several plants.

Now Griffins were fancier...

But some things shouldn't be allowed to exist...

This is a real bargain, some seat covers and wide whitewalls, would make this a driver and mobile den of iniquity.

I think it says it comes with a driver, just not how much of the price is based on that.

I think he said it is a driver. It's cheap for an 81 year old car that hasn't been bent or rotted out.

Ronnie Rayguns baby brother...

A CA pileup of the same series which about ended it.

They were running out of Model Ts.

Tiger Woods was driving a Genesis G80 for his crash,
A what? you say.
A fancy Hyundai that I had to look up.
Now there is a fight over its "black boxes."
But what I wanted to ask is what you think of its logo.  Look familiar?

The title when I found it was, corvettecorvairGMcalendar. I don't think is was more than an artists rendering.
It says Chevrolet on the front fender, but I can't make out what it says across the back.
Sure is pretty though, I can't help wondering if it was a Corvair proposal, rear engined with corvette-ish styling.
I don't think GM would have allowed that, anymore than building anything with a bigger motor or faster than the Corvette.

Now that $12,500 in 1965 is $104,371 today, but that car is worth millions.

How much would that Cobra go for today?
$12,500 in 1965, $5.5 million in 2002, $5.1 million in 2015,  and last week it went for $5.5 million.

You could have this pick-up for $9,000, but you have to go live in China...

I would like to see it side by side with a typical US pickup.  I wonder if I could fit in it at 6'2" tall?  It looks big in the pictures above, but I think they are using one of those real estate cameras.

I was checking out other offerings by the same company in China and they are tiny.
